About TIME Edge
TIME Edge offers current content that students are excited to read—delivered on a platform that prepares them for learning beyond the classroom. All content is written for middle school grade levels but can be tailored to individual learners. Teachers can assign text at different Lexile® ranges suited for grades 6-8 to accommodate all readers. Spanish translation and audio also is available for ELL and auditory learners.
What is TIME Edge?
TIME Edge is a digital current-events resource for middle schools. Updated weekly, TIME Edge is a rich source of informational text, and teaching tools developed to boost reading comprehension and build knowledge across subject areas.
What features does TIME Edge offer?
TIME Edge offers two reading levels for featured articles; audio read aloud; Spanish translation; paired texts; live polls; access to thousands of primary sources through the TIME Vault; Common Core–aligned teacher’s guides; text-dependent questions; skill-building graphic organizers; and ready-to-use assessments.
Do you provide Lexile measures for articles?
Yes. TIME Edge offers two reading levels for featured articles, based on Common Core–recommended Lexile ranges for grades 6–8. Lexile measures are displayed in the teacher’s view of featured articles.
Are there Spanish translations available for articles?
Yes. Each week, the featured articles are also offered in Spanish.

I am a TIME for Kids subscriber. Can I sign in to TIME Edge with the same credentials?
No. TIME Edge is a separate, digital-only literacy-and–current-events resource for middle school students. Your TIME for Kids log-in credentials will not work on TIMEedge.com.
How do I subscribe?
You can subscribe right away to get school-year access for you and your students at TIMEedge.com/signup.

Getting Started
How do students sign into TIME Edge?
Students will use their teacher’s email and password to sign in through the student login page. No personal information is collected from the student. When students log in, they will be able to see the articles and take quizzes assigned by their teacher and browse through all the content available to them.

Yes. All the student needs is internet access and their teacher’s email address password to log in.

Yes. TIME Edge works on all devices, including laptop and desktop computers, Chrome books, tablets such as the iPad, and smartphones.

TIME Edge works on all browsers. For the best experience, please make sure that you have installed the latest version of your preferred browser.
